Experience 150 years of history at our traditional and tranquil inn, a charming three-story wooden building featuring tatami floors and only 13 peaceful guest rooms. Every tap in our inn delivers pure, natural spring water from what is considered the oldest hot spring in the San’in region, with origins dating back 1,200 years. Humble, warm, and inviting, our inn embodies the essence of a traditional hatago lodging. San’in’s Oldest Hot Spring: 1,200 Years of History Pure Natural Spring Water
― Main Public Bath: Gensen Choju no Yu ―
Iwaiya’s Signature Choju no Yu. This deep bath allows guests to immerse themselves to chest level, even when standing. The high ceilings create a spacious and serene atmosphere, with spring water flowing naturally from beneath the pinewood floor.
■This bath operates on a rotation system with the Iwai no Yu, switching between genders at 20:00.
― Open-Air Bath: Sedo no Yu ―
The Sedo no Yu bath showcases Iwai Onsen’s pristine waters, surrounded by bamboo fencing in a pavilion-style design. Bask in the warm sunlight streaming through the trees and relax in the soothing hot spring as the continuously flowing open-air Sedo no Yu rejuvenates your body and soul.
■The Sedo no Yu is located within the grounds of the Gensen Choju no Yu.
― Main Public Bath: Iwai no Yu ―
This main public bath offers natural spring water and a more tranquil atmosphere compared to the Choju no Yu. Both baths are available for guests with access alternating between genders regularly.

■This bath operates on a rotation system with the Gensen Choju no Yu, switching between genders at 20:00.
■The Iwai no Yu does not have an open-air bath.

― Private Bath: Yoimachi Gusa ―
This private bath is perfect for families to unwind together. It features a charming wooden aesthetic and utilizes 100% natural spring water, providing a complete hot spring experience.

■Fee: 45 minutes per session, ¥3,300 (tax included)
■Same-day reservation system. Please inquire at the front desk.

■ For Guests Arriving by Car

From Osaka, the inn can be reached in about 2 hours from the Fukusaki, Sayo, Yamasaki, and Tsuyama interchanges on the Chugoku Expressway.
From the Fukusaki IC, take the Bantan Road to Wadayama, then drive about 1 hour and 30 minutes on Route 9.
From the Sayo IC, take the Tottori Expressway to Tottori IC, then drive about 30 minutes on Route 9.
From Kyoto, the inn is about a 4-hour drive on Route 9 (about 2 hours from Fukuchiyama).
From Yonago, it is about a 2-hour drive on Route 9.

■ For Guests Arriving by Train

From Kyoto Station, the ride to Tottori Station on the Limited Express Super Hakuto is about 3 hours.
From Tottori Station, the ride to Iwami Station on the JR San’in Line is about 20 minutes.
From JR Iwami Station, take the bus to Iwai Onsen for about 10 minutes. Get off at Iwai Onsen, and the inn is about a 1-minute walk away.
(There is also a bus available from Tottori Station Bus Terminal which takes about 60 minutes to Iwai Onsen.)
A taxi ride from JR Iwami Station to the inn takes about 7 minutes.

■ For Guests Arriving by Plane

From Haneda, a flight to Tottori takes about 1 hour and 10 minutes.
From Tottori Airport, the inn is about 30 minutes away by car.
A regular bus service is available between the airport and Tottori Station, which takes about 20 minutes.
(The regular bus service from the airport operates in coordination with the arrival and departure times of Tokyo flights.)
From Tottori Station, it is about a 20-minute train ride to Iwami Station on the JR San’in Line.
There is also a bus available from Tottori Station Bus Terminal which takes about 60 minutes to Iwai Onsen.
